Soon-to-be high school freshman Nick Nemeth is getting a head start on the competition at the IMG Academy football program. The young quarterback has aspirations to play in college but for now he will settle for his school's junior varsity team- a big reason he is at the Academy working with Director and Heisman trophy winner Chris Weinke and NFL veteran quarterback coach Terry Shea who has also worked with recent number one draft picks Sam Bradford and Matthew Stafford.
"The one-on-one time is the best part of the camp. It's very personal and you get a lot of reps. Coach Shea is very hands-on. I like his coaching style." said Nick, who feels his footwork has improved the most since coming to IMG.
Nick also understands how valuable the time he has spent with the legend is. "I've gotten to review film with him and get a lot out of him just pointing out my mistakes and the areas I need to focus on to improve. It will make me a better player and a better teammate."
This week, Nick has shared the field with the friend that introduced him to the Football Academy, James Forbes. James, a 13 year- old wide receiver came to IMG with his brother Charles, a 10 year-old quarterback. James and Charles are very familiar with IMG Academy, as their father Gavin is head of IMG Tennis.
