This summer is providing quite the tuneup for Ginger Howard in advance of her first shot at LPGA Q-School.
Howard, a 17-year-old IMG Academy golf program student, won her second Suncoast Ladies Series tournament in a month, using rounds of 68-70-72 to cruise to a three-shot victory at 6-under at the LPGA International in Daytona.
In early June, Howard dominated the field with a nine-shot victory at Forest Lake GC, anchored by a final-round 64.
Coached by Nathan Bertsch, Howard will start the daunting process to earn a spot on the LPGA with Stage I of Q-School next week. She won't be alone, though. Howard will be joined in Stage I by fellow IMG Academy Leadbetter golf program students Victoria Tanco and Doris Chen, who played in the Junior Ryder Cup in Scotland with Howard last year.
