IMG Academy alumnus Alfredo Escalera earns President’s Volunteer Service Award

IMG Academy alumnus Alfredo Escalera, a member of the class of 2012, made history shortly after graduation when he became the youngest player ever drafted since the inception of the First-Year Players Draft in 1965. However, Escalera is making an even bigger impact off the field with his humanitarian efforts.
About
Dean came to the Athletic & Personal Development program in 2011 as a Grad Assistant in the Athletic Training room. She has a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Florida Gulf Coast University and worked with the women's soccer team as a student there. She will be attending the University of St. Augustine in January as part of their Doctorate Physical Therapy Flex program.
About
Joshua is a senior member of the mental conditioning staff and is currently the heads up all team sports mental conditioning at the academy. His enthusiasm and passion for his students and teams is infectious and is evidence by their great successes. He uses a variety of team building exercises and mental skill building exercises to help athletes apply the tools they learn in workshops to the field of play.
