Beginning in September, the David Leadbetter Golf Academy at IMG Academy will launch a new instructional program designed specifically for the adult woman beginner golfer. The goal of this specialized program is to introduce the beginner woman golfer to the golf experience as well as the golf swing. Armed with knowledge in both these areas, the beginner woman golfer will quickly attain the confidence to play golf in any setting.
The golf experience includes a tour of a golf course, an introduction to the rules of golf, instruction in mental techniques designed to calm beginner nerves and physical conditioning training designed to help prevent injury and strengthen golf specific muscles.
The Beginner Program for Women will be offered as a three full day program (Thursday – Saturday) and will be available on select dates in September and October this fall. Additional programs dates for the spring and summer will be available in January 2009.
