Alicia Thomas is an accomplished track and field athlete and mentor whose career spans 16 years of competitive excellence and leadership. Born in White Plains, New York, and raised in Macon, Georgia, Thomas relocated to Bradenton, Florida to attend IMG Academy during her sophomore, junior, and senior years. During her time at the academy, she distinguished herself as one of the program’s impactful athletes, setting 12 school records and earning the role of team captain, exemplifying leadership both on and off the track.
Following her success at IMG Academy, Thomas earned a full scholarship to Boston University, where she continued her athletic career while completing her Bachelor of Arts in Psychological and Brain Sciences. She later extended her collegiate athletic career at the Academy of Art University, competing for two additional years, becoming a 2x National Championship Qualifier, and earning her Master of Arts in Communications and Media Technologies.
In addition to her competitive accomplishments, Thomas has built a strong reputation as a coach and mentor. Throughout her athletic career, she coached and developed athletes at multiple levels, including former IMG Academy track and field athletes and collegiate competitors. She has also served as a mentor to student-athletes, campers, and collegiate athletes, fostering personal growth, discipline, and long-term development.
Track and field has been a defining passion throughout Alicia's life, and she remains dedicated to advancing the sport through mentorship, leadership, and continued involvement. She looks forward to expanding her impact and contributing to the next generation of athletes.
