Tyler Granelli

National Team Head Coach

About Me

Tyler Granelli is the Head Boys National Coach at IMG Academy, where he leads one of the nation's premier high school lacrosse programs and helps shape the development of elite student-athletes preparing for college and professional careers. He also serves as Vice President and National Director of True Lacrosse, a position he has held since 2023, overseeing player development, coaching education, and national programming across one of the country's largest club organizations.

A highly accomplished coach and former elite player, Granelli brings championship experience, offensive expertise, and a proven record of developing high-level talent at every stage of the game. Throughout his coaching career, he has mentored more than 25+ All-Americans, over 30+ All-Conference selections, four Conference Players of the Year, and numerous professional and collegiate standouts.

Prior to joining IMG Academy, Granelli spent six seasons at Jacksonville University (2018–2023) as Assistant Coach and Offensive Coordinator, helping lead the Dolphins to conference championships while earning both ASUN and Southern Conference Coaching Staff of the Year honors. Before Jacksonville, he served on the coaching staffs at Florida Southern College, Salisbury University, and Randolph-Macon College. While at Salisbury, he helped lead the Sea Gulls to the 2016 NCAA Division III National Championship and was selected to the USILA North-South Game coaching staff.

Granelli's playing career is equally distinguished. A 2025 inductee into the Salisbury University Athletics Hall of Fame, he was a three-time USILA All-American, three-time Capital Athletic Conference First Team selection, and the 2012 NCAA Division III Specialist of the Year. He was also selected to the USILA North-South Senior All-Star Game and served as a team captain for Salisbury in 2013. Granelli remains among the most accomplished faceoff specialists in program history, holding Salisbury records for career faceoff winning percentage and ground balls.. He won three National Championships as a player, later returning to his alma mater as an assistant coach and helping the Sea Gulls capture another national title in 2016.

Before college, Granelli starred at John Jay High School (N.Y.), where he earned US Lacrosse High School All-American honors and was recognized as an Inside Lacrosse Top 100 Recruit.

Known for his passion for player development, innovative offensive systems, and championship culture, Granelli has built a reputation as one of the sport's premier coaches and leaders. His experience across elite club, collegiate, and national-level lacrosse uniquely positions him to prepare the next generation of athletes for success both on and off the field.
