Anthony Zimmer

About Me

Anthony rejoined IMG Academy in November 2020 as Senior Sport Scientist after having served in a similar role from 2018 to 2019. More recently, he worked in industrial ergonomics for ATI Physical Therapy. Prior to his first appointment at IMG Academy, Anthony spent the 2013 through 2016 seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFL as a Sports Science Analyst. In this role, he was responsible for daily applications of athlete monitoring in addition to coaching athletes during strength and conditioning sessions, and managing individual corrective and recovery plans as well as reconditioning sessions for injured athletes.
Anthony also spent several years with the University of Pittsburgh as a research associate in remote labs in Virginia and Mississippi where he carried out day-to-day operations of data collection through various protocols conducted on Navy SEALs and SWCC as part of government funded research to identify injury risk factors and validate performance interventions. Anthony started his career as a staff athletic trainer for the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
