Admissions process The journey starts now.

1. Start your application

Starting your application takes about 15 minutes. Here’s how it works:

  • Request a consultation to connect with a Student-Athlete Advisor. They’re your guide through the entire admissions & enrollment process.
  • Complete your student-athlete profile and boarding school application through Blackbaud, our admissions platform.
  • Submit the $200 non-refundable application fee to complete your submission.

2. Review the admissions checklist

Once your application is submitted, our Admissions team will send you a personalized checklist with everything needed to complete your file. Your checklist will typically include:

  • Official school transcripts
  • Two letters of recommendation (one from a current teacher, one from a school official)
  • Birth certificate or passport
  • Any applicable additional documents (IEP/504, custody agreement, English proficiency scores for non-native speakers)

Your checklist updates in real time as documents are submitted and reviewed. The Admissions team will reach out directly if anything additional is needed.

3. Schedule a campus visit

A campus visit isn't required, but it's one of the best decisions you'll make. Seeing IMG Academy in person, the training facilities, classrooms, and residential life, gives student-athletes and families a real sense of what daily life looks like here.

Your Student-Athlete Advisor can coordinate a visit at your convenience, or we encourage you to consider one of our weekly camp programs as a hands-on way to experience campus before enrolling.

4. Admissions decision

You’re in.

Within 24-48 hours of your acceptance being confirmed, you’ll hear from our Enrollment Office with your official enrollment details and instructions for securing your spot.

5. Secure your spot

To finalize your enrollment once accepted, complete two quick steps:

  • Review and sign the Tuition Enrollment Agreement via AdobeSign.
  • Submit your non-refundable enrollment deposit. This secures your spot and confirms your place in the incoming class.

Once both are complete, your enrollment at IMG Academy is officially confirmed.

6. Welcome to IMG Academy!

You’re officially part of the Ascender family, and now the real preparation begins.

Your dedicated Onboarding team will reach out after enrollment is confirmed. They’ll walk you through everything you need to prepare for arrival, from health and registration forms to housing and travel logistics.

International student-athletes: our Admissions team will provide your I-20 documentation and guidance on scheduling your student visa appointment.

Admissions & Enrollment FAQs

Start by completing a consultation request to connect with a Student-Athlete Advisor. From there, you'll complete a student-athlete profile and submit an admissions application through Blackbaud. All student-athletes must enroll in one of the sports offered by the institution. For academics-only inquiries, contact the Enrollment Office at [email protected] for eligibility requirements.

The majority of students are well-rounded student-athletes who excel academically with a strong record of consistency and effort, a clear passion for their sport, and a willingness to grow through intensive training and coaching. The Admissions team takes a holistic approach to review each application, seeking students who demonstrate extraordinary character, independence, discipline, and a commitment to development.

The application for the following academic year opens on September 1st.

IMG Academy enrolls students based on availability. We offer rolling admissions and enrollment; however, families are encouraged to submit their application as soon as possible for review. If you have not connected with a Student-Athlete Advisor, please reach out to the Enrollment Office at [email protected] for more information.

You'll need to complete all required fields in the application and submit transcripts, two letters of recommendation (one from a current teacher and one from a current school official), a birth certificate or passport, and the $200 application fee. If applicable, you may also need to provide a custody agreement, English proficiency test scores for non-native English speakers, an IEP/504 plan with neuropsychological evaluation, or an affidavit of support and bank letter for international students. Admissions officers reserve the right to request additional information.

IMG Academy offers qualified students the opportunity to attend through financial aid. Please note that financial aid awards are based on demonstrated financial need, and requests often exceed availability. IMG Academy partners with Clarity to process financial aid applications. Contact your Student-Athlete Advisor for instructions on how to apply.

Starting with the 2025–26 academic year, IMG Academy has partnered with Clarity as its financial aid application provider. Clarity offers a streamlined, mobile-friendly application that can be completed in as little as 25 minutes and removes the need to upload tax documents, as they pull the information on your behalf.

Congratulations! Within the next 24–48 hours after acceptance is confirmed, families receive the Tuition Enrollment Agreement from the Enrollment Office via AdobeSign. Both parents' signatures are required. Once reviewed, completed, and the non-refundable enrollment deposit has been processed, your enrollment at IMG Academy is officially confirmed.

Starting with the 2025–26 academic year, IMG Academy is implementing a perpetual enrollment agreement. This agreement between the Academy and each family allows student-athletes to remain enrolled through high school graduation, eliminating the need to re-commit each year and securing your student-athlete's place at IMG Academy. Shortly after confirming enrollment, the On-Boarding team will be in contact to ensure you have all the information needed to prepare for the next academic year, including required health and registration forms. International student-athletes will receive the I-20 (if applicable) and may then schedule an appointment at the closest embassy to apply for a student visa.
