2018 Football Schedule Reveals Top Competition for the Blue and White

The IMG Academy Football Program has unveiled the 2018 fall schedules for the Varsity Blue and White teams. The IMG Academy Varsity Blue team is led by Head Coach Kevin Wright in his fourth season at IMG, and is looking to extend a nearly four-season 38-game winning streak dating back to 2014. The team will take on another challenging slate of games from coast-to-coast headlined by a matchup against the defending national champion Mater Dei Monarchs of California who amassed a perfect 15-0 record in 2017. Other marquee matchups on the schedule include the likes of Alabama 7A state champion Hoover and Pennsylvania 6A state champion Pine-Richland.

Today, May 17^th, marks the conclusion of spring practices and the annual intra-squad scrimmage will kick off at IMG Academy Stadium at 7 PM ET. The 75-play scrimmage can be viewed online at www.facebook.com/IMGAcademy or www.youtube.com/IMGAcademy

Football was added to IMG Academy’s lineup of sports in 2010 to offer year-round instructional camps to players of all levels. The varsity program would be added later and played its first season in 2013. A full-member of the Florida High School Athletic Association, the Ascenders have amassed an overall record of 46-3 since the inaugural season, and guided the development of more than 100 Division-I Football Bowl Subdivision athletes. This year Bo Scarbrough (Alabama) became the first IMG Academy alumnus to be selected in the NFL Draft when he was selected in the seventh-round by the Dallas Cowboys. Other IMG alumni include the likes of Deondre Francois (Florida State), Shea Patterson (Michigan), Hjalte Froholdt (Arkansas), Isaiah Pryor (Ohio State), Dylan Moses (Alabama) and Tony Jones, Jr. (Notre Dame).
