Gabby Anderson, IMG Academy girls basketball student-athlete, may only be a junior in high school, but she's making her name, her company, and her passion known on a much larger scale. What started as a passion and a love for art has transformed into an opportunity to create Graffiti by Gabby, her brand that's customizing shoes and allowing others to express themselves from the moment they walk into any room.
Her family and friends are always close to her heart, and, especially during 2020, she was able to impact them through her shoe designs. Gabby's mom played college basketball and shared her daughter's concepts on social media, leading her to earn perhaps her largest project to date. This year, Gabby was able to design and customize shoes for the entire Texas A&M's women's basketball team as a part of their "My Why" campaign. Each player chose their own cause to represent, and Gabby researched each area and sketched up the designs that debuted on national tv.

Gabby's talents were always recognized, but she's been able to share her passion on larger scales than she may have ever dreamed possible. With March 8, 2021 being International Women's Day, Gabby designed shoes specifically to represent what the day means to her and to show what and who continue to inspire her.
"No doubt that this is the decade of the woman," Gabby said. "My generation has been lucky enough to witness women do amazing things – from starting businesses to achievements in sports and politics. I’m inspired by the resilience of women who are bold enough to do what the world says they can't. One shoe is a collective of women and the other pays tribute to individuals.”
"I have always been aware that one day basketball will be done," Gabby said. "Even if I am lucky enough to play at the highest level, one day, it will all be over. My message to other female athletes is to learn the lessons that sports teach you, then use them in your every day life. I work just as hard in the classroom and for my business as I do on the court."
