IMG Academy, one of the world’s largest and most advanced multi-sport training and educational institutions, announced their partnership with a unique virtual reality company, WIN Reality. After using the product since the end of 2019, IMG Academy has seen strides in student-athletes' hitting performance and game preparation with their system that allows players to see 100+ pitches in 15 minutes with real-time feedback.

“This partnership with IMG offers us the opportunity to discover novel ways to apply our technology into high performance sports training,” said WIN Reality CEO Chris O’Dowd. “We are eager to bring together our expertise with the talented pool of athletes and coaches at IMG Academy.”
WIN Reality's VR technology allows players to build their hitting approach, improve pitch recognition, and sharpen swing decision skills, all before stepping on the field.
“It is great to be able to work with a company like WIN Reality that is taking play and practice to a whole new level,” said Scott Dean, IMG Academy Vice President and Director of Athletics.
WIN Reality is used by over 20 Major League Baseball (MLB) teams as well as premier college programs across the country. Their application saves player information to track improvement and allows for the transfer to systems that are purchased for home.
“It has been tremendous to see the growth from our student-athletes who have used this product,” said Dan Simonds, Director of IMG Academy’s Baseball Program, whose national varsity team ranked #1 in the country in the 2019 season. “It is so important for our kids to get the game-like experience and WIN Reality provides that for them. It provides our players increased game-like reps which ultimately prepares them to compete.”
