IMG Academy
When IMG Academy soccer alumnus Chloe Shimkin started college at the University of Texas, she brought with her a number of tools that she gained during her time at IMG Academy: Her on-the-field skills developed over her time in Bradenton, her mental performance techniques honed through IMG Academy’s holistic education and her knowledge of the growing NIL space.
By the end of her sophomore season at Texas, she had started 15 games. She also grew her personal following on Instagram to more than 7,800 followers and more than 4,000 on TikTok, monetizing deals with brands including Bird Scooters, Princess Polly, and Accelerator Energy.
"IMG Academy provided me with the blueprint on how to maximize my personal branding,” she said in a message. “I learned firsthand how to make informed decisions and maximize opportunities with brands such as Under Armour and Gatorade!"
How IMG Academy Helped Chloe Succeed at the College Level
When Chloe signed with the University of Texas, it was a longtime dream come true. She credited her time at IMG Academy with helping her elevate her skills on and off of the field.
“I wouldn’t trade my experience here for anything,” she said during her senior year. “I was just able to come into my own person and grow up. I’ve really been able to elevate my game.”
She also gained valuable education in mental performance tools.
“Your mental well-being as an athlete is really important,” she said. “To play at your best, you have to feel your best and I think that having those resources here and people and coaches that all care has been great.”
Chloe also used NCSA to organize her recruiting communications and communicate with colleges. She chose Texas because of its style of play and the resources available to student-athletes.
