BRADENTON, Fla. (April 26, 2025) - IMG Academy, the world’s leading sports education brand, had four former student-athletes selected in the 2025 National Football League (NFL) Draft in Green Bay, Wis., including the No. 12 overall pick in offensive lineman Tyler Booker. He was joined by the No. 31 overall pick in linebacker Jihaad Campbell, linebacker Francisco Mauigoa (No. 162), and defensive lineman Warren Brinson (No. 198). With the selections of Booker to the Dallas Cowboys and Campbell to the Philadelphia Eagles, IMG Academy has had eight alumni selected in the first round since 2020.
The 2025 NFL Draft marked the third straight year at least two IMG Academy alumni have been selected in the first two rounds and the fourth time in the last five years. Since 2020, IMG Academy has had at least one alumnus selected in the first round of the draft which continues to be an NFL record for one high school. In the last decade, IMG Academy is the only high school with two first round draft picks two years in a row, following JC Latham (No. 7) and JJ McCarthy (No. 10) in 2024.
“The NFL Draft is one of the biggest moments for our program throughout the year. We are so proud of our alumni who have achieved their dream of making it to the highest level of football,” said Kyle Brey, Director of Football. “With two first round selections and four total, the 2025 NFL Draft is a true representation of the dedication of the student-athletes and the commitment from our coaches to support each student-athlete to win their future.”
Since IMG Academy alumni became eligible for the NFL Draft in 2018, 25 former student-athletes have been selected. With four alumni selected, the 2025 NFL Draft is the seventh consecutive year multiple alumni were selected in a single draft. The most alumni ever selected in one year was seven in 2021, which was an NFL Draft record for one high school.
Tyler Booker, Offensive Lineman (No. 12 | Dallas Cowboys), Class of IMG Academy 2022
Booker became the sixth IMG Academy alumni offensive lineman selected in the NFL Draft and joins JC Latham, Evan Neal, and Cesar Ruiz as the fourth IMG Academy alumni offensive lineman taken in the first round. Booker is IMG Academy’s seventh alumni selected in the first round since 2020. Booker graduated from IMG Academy in 2022, after three years at the school. He played in the Under Armour All-American game and was a top-ranked player in the state and nationally. During his junior season at the University of Alabama, Booker was named a first team All-American by both CBS Sports and USA Today. Booker is the third IMG Academy first round pick from the University of Alabama and the fifth overall.
Jihaad Campbell, Linebacker (No. 31 | Philadelphia Eagles), Class of IMG Academy 2022
Campbell became the second IMG Academy alumni linebacker selected in NFL Draft history. Campbell is IMG Academy’s eighth alumni selected in the first round and will join fellow IMG Academy alumni, Nolan Smith, at the Philadelphia Eagles. Campbell graduated from IMG academy in 2022, after attending the school for his senior season. He was a five-star recruit and the No. 1 ranked edge in the country according to On3 and 247Sports. During his junior year at the University of Alabama, Campbell had the eighth most tackles in Alabama history with 117 tackles in one season. Campbell’s selection makes him the sixth alumni selected from the University of Alabama.
Francisco Mauigoa, Linebacker (No. 162 | New York Jets), Class of IMG Academy 2021
Mauigoa became the third IMG Academy alumni linebacker selected in the NFL Draft following Campbell and Nolan Smith. He is the second alumni selected from the University of Miami after KJ Osborn. Mauigoa graduated from IMG Academy in 2021 and went on to the University of Miami where he led the team with 96 tackles during his senior season.
Warren Brinson, Defensive Lineman (No. 198 | Green Bay Packers), Class of IMG Academy 2020
Brinson became the third IMG Academy defensive lineman alumni selected in the NFL Draft. He is the fourth alumni selected from Georgia, joining the likes of Isaac Nauta, Tre’ McKitty, and Nolan Smith. Brinson graduated from IMG Academy in 2020 after spending two years with the Ascenders to then go off to the University of Georgia.
IMG Academy’s football program saw remarkable success across all levels this past season. 14 alumni competed in the 2024 College Football Playoff, including three in the 2025 College Football National Championship, and two went on to win the 2025 Super Bowl. At the high school level, 2024 was a banner year as well—IMG Academy’s Varsity team captured its second straight SSIA State Championship, while the National team closed out the season ranked No. 17 nationally by MaxPreps. Beyond the field, IMG Academy’s online recruiting platform, NCSA, played a pivotal role, with 22 student-athletes selected in this year’s draft, including four in the first two rounds. The continued success of both alumni and the academy reinforces IMG Academy’s status as a leading force in football development.
