IMG Academy International Tennis Tournament Showcases the Future of Junior Tennis

BRADENTON, Fla. (Oct.26, 2026) – IMG Academy, the world's leading sports education brand, will welcome the next generation of global tennis talent to Bradenton this fall for the IMG Academy International Tennis Championship, taking place Nov. 24-Dec. 6, 2026, on the IMG Academy campus.

Formerly known as the Eddie Herr International Championships, the tournament continues the legacy of one of the world’s premier junior tennis events. The tournament receives more than 2,000 applications from junior tennis players representing countries around the world, with approximately 1,500 players earning the opportunity to compete. Competition will feature the 12U, 14U, 16U and 18U ITF age divisions, with a limited number of invitations available across qualifying and main draws. Over the years, the tournament has provided an early stage for some of the sport’s future stars, with past participants and champions including Maria Sharapova, Jelena Jankovic, Andy Roddick, Kristina Liutova, Jordan Lee, Whitney Osuigwe, Miomir Kecmanovic and Michael Mmoh.

“The history of this tournament is incredibly special, and we are excited to begin this next chapter as the IMG Academy International Tennis Championship,” said Juan Herrera, Director of Tennis at IMG Academy. “It brings together some of the best junior players from around the world in an environment that is built for development and competition. We are proud to continue a tradition that has helped introduce so many future professionals to the international tennis stage.”

The championship is part of IMG Academy’s broader junior tennis ecosystem, which provides opportunities for young student-athletes to discover, develop, and compete at increasingly higher levels. From IMG Future Stars and the IMG Academy Discovery Open to the International Tennis Championship and professional events such as the Sarasota Open, IMG Academy creates a progression from emerging talent to elite competition.

Central to that progression is IMG Academy’s unique wildcard system, which creates a direct pathway for standout junior players to advance to higher levels of competition. Champions from IMG Future Stars earn a wildcard into the ITC 14s main draw, while ITC 18s champions can earn wildcards into professional events, including the Sarasota Open and Mubadala Abu Dhabi Open. The pathway connects junior success directly to elite competition, creating opportunities that are rarely available within a single tennis ecosystem.

The IMG Academy International Tennis Championship is open to the public, with matches streamed live through HTN Sports. For more information about the IMG Academy International Tennis Championship, please visit here.
