BRADENTON, Fla. (Dec. 3, 2025) – IMG Academy, the world's leading sports education brand, and Under Armour, a global leader in athletic performance apparel, footwear, and accessories, today announced the inaugural 2026 Under Armour Track and Field Nationals. The event will take place this spring at IMG Academy’s campus in Bradenton, Fla., underscoring the brands’ shared commitment to elevating youth athletics and strategically positioning IMG Academy as the premier destination for elite athletic events.
As Florida’s first-ever national track and field event, the 2026 Under Armour Track and Field Nationals will unite the country’s top high school and middle school student-athletes for an exclusive and unforgettable championship showcase. Competitors will take part in all track and field disciplines within a performance-driven environment designed to highlight the best of youth athletics. Registration opens Feb. 1, 2026, and closes May 1, 2026. Event field sizes will be predetermined by the meet committee, with accepted entries selected through a descending-order list based on verified marks.

Under Armour’s history of bringing high-profile youth athletic events to IMG Academy, including the Justin Jefferson Flight School, UA Future 60 Basketball Camp, UA Kelsey Plum Camp, and UA Next Future 50, made the partnership a natural evolution. The 2026 Track and Field Nationals is a three-day event that is set to take place in May.

As part of preparations for hosting this national event, IMG Academy is undergoing construction on a new, elite-level track surface developed in partnership with Rekortan, who will become an Official Sponsor of IMG Academy. The Rekortan Gel Series, the world’s only gel-based track, is designed to optimize athlete performance and welfare while minimizing environmental impact, using a thinner gel layer made from 84% renewable and recycled materials. This upgrade is part of IMG Academy’s broader effort to enhance the student-athlete experience and maximize competitive results. State-of-the-art facilities will feature strategic layouts and wind-aware event setups to support fast times, long jumps, and big throws across all events.
