IMG Academy named 2019 USA TODAY Super 25 High School Baseball National Champions

IMG Academy’s National baseball program was crowned the 2019 USA Today Super High School National Champions in the Super 25 rankings. It was a historic season for the Ascenders, who finished with a 24-1 overall record and saw a national high school record six members of the team selected in the 2019 MLB First Year Players Draft. 

Highlighted by USA Today, the IMG Academy National Baseball team won the Perfect Game High School Showdown and competed against some of the most well-known teams in the nation. The schedule featured wins over a number of state champions and finalists, including the likes of Jesuit (Fla.), Desert Oasis (Nev.), Dunedin (Fla.) and Canterbury (Fla.). 
During the 2019 MLB Draft, IMG tied for the most players selected on the first day (three, which tied with UCLA). Learn more about the record-setting selections in this article on the MLB Draft.

Straight from breakfast to the classroom, student-athletes are fully immersed in a collegiate-style block schedule that incorporates a challenging core curriculum seamlessly with their sport, strength training, social activities, and down time. A team of expert coaches offer a total-athlete approach to ensure personalized, holistic player feedback and development from on-field work to nutrition to strength and conditioning. Not all baseball schools offer a unique programming structure of 10 teams at various levels, allowing student-athletes to feel comfortable and challenged while pursuing their personal goals.
