Cordell Henry

About Me:

Cordell Henry joined IMG Academy after spending two seasons as an Assistant Girls Basketball Coach at Montverde Academy where he helped the Eagles become the 15th ranked team in the country. Before coaching at Montverde, Henry was the Associate Head Men's Basketball Coach at North Park University in Chicago. Prior to starting his coaching career, Henry played professional basketball overseas from 2002-11 in four different countries. While playing for Ovarense in Portugal, his team captured consecutive LNBP league championships. During his career he played on the summer league squad for the Memphis Grizzlies, Indiana Pacers, and Milwaukee Bucks. Henry scored over 1,000 points in four seasons at Marquette University, where he was selected to the Conference USA All-League Third Team as a junior and Second Team as a senior. During his senior season at Marquette, the Golden Eagles finished the season ranked #6 in the nation. He remains the 23rd leading-scorer in school history. The Chicago native is married and the proud father of four daughters.
