Jorge Giral is a member of the Hospital for Special Surgery team in Bradenton, FL and serves as Clinical Supervisor of HSS Spine and Sport at IMG Academy. Jorge works in conjunction with the multi-disciplinary staff of IMG Academy’s Athletic and Personal Development Program to provide the highest quality of care to its student athletes and professionals training at the world-class facility. Jorge completed his undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of Miami in which he work closely with the school’s Division I athletic program as a student-athletic trainer for Football, Men’s Basketball and Baseball. Jorge is certified manual therapist through the Ola Grimsby Institute and is formally trained in various soft tissue mobilization techniques: Graston, F.R.® Spine and Lower Extremity, and Positional Release Technique. He is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association and its Sports Physical Therapy section, National Strength and Conditioning Association, as well as, The American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists. Clinical interests include application of manual therapy techniques to surgical and non-surgical rehabilitation, athlete screening and injury prevention. Jorge serves as clinical instructor to both physical therapy and athletic training students.
