The well-being and safety of our student-athletes and campers is of paramount importance at IMG Academy (“IMGA”). IMGA routinely reviews its policies and procedures to ensure that we are compliant with federal and local laws, and we reserve the right to make changes to our Safer Campus Initiative as needed with or without notice. Please note that starting Monday, April 1st, in accordance with CDC recommendations, COVID-19 illness will be treated the same as common respiratory viral illnesses.
CAMP PROTOCOLS
IMG Academy continues to use the utmost caution to ensure the health and safety of everyone on campus during camp weeks. Campers who are ill on their camp attendance departure date should remain home and reschedule with Camp Services 941-749-8660. Campers experiencing illness during camps will be treated by the onsite Johns Hopkins All Childrens’ Clinic (“JHACH”). Once deemed well enough to return to campus residence by a JHACH medical professional, they will be evaluated for their ability to further return to camp activity.
JOHNS HOPKINS ALL CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL
Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital is the exclusive provider of health services at IMG Academy. The Johns Hopkins All Children’s health services team on-site includes pediatric sports medicine specialists, nurses, and physical therapists. Their team has been an incredible resource as we’ve worked to ensure a safe and healthy campus during summer camp operations. Dr. Patrick Mularoni, Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital medical director of health services at IMG Academy, advises our leadership team and acts as a liaison with local public health officials to keep IMGA up-to-date on the latest health information.
Please be sure to complete your health and safety forms in SchoolDoc. Campers cannot participate in any camp activities until all required forms are completed.
