The 2022 MLB Draft Combine participant list was released today, and three Ascenders will be heading to San Diego June 15-18, 2022. Kerry Herndon-Brown (OF/LHP), Jeanpierre Ortiz (SS), and Jackson Ferris (LHP) made the list of 250 prospects, 118 of which were high school athletes. IMG Academy had the most student-athletes from any high school represented on the list. The only schools with more athletes were Georgia Tech, Mississippi State, Texas, and UC Berkeley.
This four-day Combine will take place at Petco Park and features pro-style workouts, strength and conditioning assessments, and high school competition at the onset of the event. Athletes will also be able to interview and interact with MLB general managers and scouting directors and even receive personal branding training.
