Teamwork isn't only a skill needed to succeed in sport. When student-athletes from an IMG art class, the Learning Resource Center (LRC), and a psychology course came together to create a visual literacy piece, the outcome was not only a learning tool and visual representation of the brain but also an intangible feeling of camaraderie and support.
Cassia Kite Jaeger, Visual Art Instructor for Art Foundations and Cross-Curricular Liason, brought a one-time project to life in a way that provided student-athletes with a chance to express themselves, work closely with other classes, and recognize how their efforts could impact others in a larger way. Her efforts brought the classes of Social Sciences teacher, Michelle Filicetti, and Assistant Head of School, Learning Services, Kathy Bogad, and her students together through a collaborative project that the Academy will cherish for years to come.
If you've ever wondered how painting, academic guidance, and the use of an Anatomage, a virtual dissection table and 3D anatomy visualization system that very few high schools have access to, can come together, then this is your chance to watch how it was made possible inside IMG's Academic Center.
