It all starts in the weight room and off the court, but it certainly doesn't stop there. The plays and highlights you see in the recap videos don't just happen without putting in the work behind the scenes. Jarace Walker, junior IMG Academy basketball student-athlete, leads the way when it comes to getting after it in the gym, on the court, and even during the team's downtime. He knows what it's going to take to claim another National Championship, and he's motivated to not only make a name for himself, but also the entire IMG basketball program and, specifically, the National Team. Currently sitting at No. 9 on the ESPN 60 Class of 2022 basketball rankings, this 6'8" power forward is just skimming the surface of his potential.
Walker enrolled at IMG Academy three years ago as a freshman, and he instantly turned heads, both with his game and in the way he carried himself as a 14-year-old. He identified his goals, and from there, the motivation and support began immediately from the coaches, trainers, and even his teammates around him. And it hasn't stopped yet.
Walker is now paving a path for his own personal growth as well as for his younger teammates who are now starting out on their journey within the basketball program in Bradenton. Walker's goals align with many of his teammates and classmates at IMG: be your personal best while bringing up those around you to achieve their own individual aspirations.
