About Me

For the past 12 years James has been a collegiate tennis coach at the Division 1 and Division 2 level. Most recently, he served as the Head Women’s Tennis Coach at James Madison University and achieved the most successful four years in the history of the program, and reaching two conference finals and number 56 nationally. Prior to JMU, James was the assistant coach at Mississippi State who are top 30 in the nation and four years at Saint Leo University as the head coach. At Saint Leo the program went from unranked to top 10 in 3 years, with 6 NCAA appearances between both men’ and women’s program.

Seasonally James spent three summers in the Hamptons working at The Maidstone Club with high profile clientele as the Junior Director of Tennis. James played collegiate tennis at Samford University (2006) and graduated from Columbus State University with a Master’s in 2009. James holds both USPTA and LTA coaching licenses and certifications. He is originally from Solihull, England and became a dual citizen in 2015. James and his wife Erin have two sons, George and Henry
