Girls golf camp at IMG Academy

IMG Academy offers year-round golf camp programs geared towards your goals, regardless of your skill level. Programs range from two daily training sessions and competition opportunities to options including personalized coaching sessions or training specializations focused on topics such as mental performance and recovery. IMG Academy summer golf camps are designed to incorporate small group training, strategy sessions, and competition elements.

Fall, holiday, and spring golf training camps combine small group training with tactical drills to complement offseason practice and schedule availability. Camp durations vary by season but may include: 3-day, 5-day, or multi-week durations that reinforce a progressive training curriculum.

Whether you’re aiming to compete in college, make your varsity team roster, or seeking to learn from coaches with the highest levels of PGA experience, IMG Academy’s developmental golf camps offer the ideal option for any youth player. Campers learn from expert coaches and improve their game during IMG Academy’s 1-week sport camps that offer five full days of training.

Campers who attend multiple weeks of camp at IMG Academy benefit the greatest, as they are fully immersed within the program and build on each week incrementally.

IMG Academy camp is based on 40+ years of athlete development!

All campers will attend our foundational camp experience and can choose to upgrade their training to include one additional daily training specialization session (Total Athlete upgrade) or one additional daily personalized coaching sessions (Breakthrough upgrade).

For the ultimate training experience you can also book our Game Changer package that includes both upgrades!

Full swing, pitching, chipping, putting and in-depth individual video analysis. Focus is on the individual (strengths and weaknesses) and how to best improve each area.

All Total Athlete and Game Changer programs include training specializations that can be changed for each week of the camp. Athletes seeking to hone their skills outside of sport-specific training will benefit from these unique training specializations. IMG Academy’s expert coaches set athletes apart from their competition, and each session provides campers with takeaways that will significantly impact their game.

Golf Director, Kevin Craggs

Kevin Craggs joined IMG Academy in June 2019 as the Director of Golf. He brings more than three decades of experience to the role as a former PGA Professional, with more than 25 years as a dedicated coach.

After playing on the European tour for several years, Craggs moved into coaching, and, for many years, was the Scottish National Team Coach. He built his career on developing golfers at all levels, from the juniors through the professional ranks on both the European and U.S. tours. He has worked with the likes of Scottish golfing legend Colin Montgomerie and IMG Academy alumna Paula Creamer.

Unforgettable experiences outside of sport

To maximize the IMG Academy experience, we recommend that campers choose the boarding option and stay in a campus residence hall. Campers can make a roommate request, upgrade to a private room or get assigned a roommate. Roommate assignments are made by gender, then age similarities, then same sport participation when possible.

All campers also have the chance to unwind and hang out between camp programming sessions. The rec area between the residence halls includes a resort-style pool (with lifeguard), sand volleyball court, basketball courts, turf sport court, table tennis, and more. Other activities are planned, including movie nights on the pool jumbotron, pool parties and Campus Center activities.

All boarding campers can access breakfast, lunch and dinner at The Servery, a buffet-style eatery. Other options for extra fees not included in their meal plan include Whalburgers, Big Chicken, a cafe, food trucks and snacks in the campus store.

Our commitment to your health & safety

The health and safety of campers is our highest priority. Each residence hall has residential mentors, supervision and curfews to ensure campers feel safe and supported. We also have campus security, including gated entries, on campus 24/7.

We partner with the renowned Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital (JHACH) to deliver health services on campus. Also open 24/7, JHACH provides on-site nurses to address any health issue that arises. Health services can also distribute prescription medication, schedule on-campus appointments and provide transportation to off-campus medical appointments.

Off-campus Excursions

With your camp experience, there are opportunities to take advantage of some of our chaperoned, off-campus excursions. Some of our options could include local area attractions such as Pop Stroke Mini Golf as well as long distance excursions to Busch Gardens, Disney's Magic Kingdom, or even a Tampa Bay Rays game. These trips are an exciting way for your camper to engage with others outside of training in addition to the on-campus options that are also available.

IMG Academy Golf Club is Bradenton's premiere public golf course and is open to the public and members alike. Home to the IMG Academy golf students, the natural beauty of IMG Academy Golf Club is both rivaled and complimented by a great golf experience. The Golf Club features an 18-hole championship golf course, multiple practice areas, grille room and bar, as well as a fitness room that provides an array of fitness and cardio equipment. It is a true test for low handicap players, and also eminently playable for high handicappers who consider it extremely fair, yet challenging.

VIA campers

Your young athlete deserves the highest level of support and comfort during their camp experience. IMG Academy offers additional support and oversight for 8-9 year old campers at no additional cost for this very reason! Please note, we only offer VIA programming during our summer camp season.

The VIA (Very Important Athlete) program consists of designated pick-up and drop-off locations and age-appropriate activities and programming tailored to camper schedules delivered by a responsible and energetic team guiding campers throughout their experience.

What families should know prior to booking

  • Camp registration closes 10 days prior to the start of each camp.
  • Camp check-in is on Sunday, and check-out is on Saturday (except for some Holiday and Tournament camps).
  • Camps are available year-round, with January-March, June-August, and December as the most popular months among athletes. It’s important to book at least 6 months ahead to reserve your spot and ensure availability.
  • Campers can extend their camp stay while on campus, pending boarding and sport training availability.
  • Prices may increase the closer to a booking date, so book early to save.
  • Multi-week campers typically book one of our chaperoned off-campus excursions to relax and enjoy time with other campers at some of our local attractions.   • Groups of 5 or more can receive a discounted rate for booking together. Simply call our camp advisors to make a group reservation to save. 1-800-872-6425
