Having developed countless national team and D-I players, as well as being the home of the 2022 U19 girls national champions, IMG Academy implements a proven position-specific training methodology that makes its girls soccer camps the industry’s best for development. Camps are for ages 10-18 with customizable programming for all skill levels and availability throughout the year to accommodate your schedule. Please note, certain ages may only be available during specific seasons.

Programs range from two daily training sessions to options including personalized coaching sessions or training specializations focused on topics such as mental performance and speed & agility. IMG Academy summer girls soccer camps are designed to incorporate group training, position-specific skill work, and game-like scenarios.
Fall, holiday, and spring training camps combine small group training with core skills training to complement offseason training and schedule availability. Camp durations vary by season but may include: 3-day, 5-day, or multi-week durations that reinforce a progressive training curriculum.

Depending on your position, here are just some of the skills you will learn from our expert coaches:
Dribbling/ball control, passing, receiving, shooting/striking, and 1v1 play (attacking & defending)
Master the unique skills needed in small group situations on the field. Making runs, speed of play, clearing space, sending players through, shutting down an opponent and using angles in 2v2, 3v3 and 4v4 small sided games.
Understand dynamics of play through buildups, changing point of attack, and team shape. 7v7, 9v9 and 11v11 drills include attacking, defending and transition.
Maximize speed and agility, build power, increase endurance, aerobic capacity and reduce chance of injury.
Pre-match routines, preparation, emotional control and addressing adversity.
Goalkeepers are challenged and trained to read cues, recognize actions, and apply the appropriate response to defend the goal, area, and space via dedicated training sessions and live action.

Don Cameron has been with IMG Academy since November of 2018. He was hired as the Technical Director and now serves as the Director of Soccer.
Don comes to IMG Academy from Lonestar Soccer Club in Austin, Texas. Don was the Executive Director of Soccer from 2011-2018 and helped grow the club to 7500 players and 168 competitive soccer teams. During his tenure at Lonestar, the club placed over 1000 players in collegiate soccer programs. Don also designed a club DNA, a player development philosophy, tactical periodization and curriculums for all the players at Lonestar. He implemented a professional development program for the 68 full-time coaching staff to implement the player development program.
Don has successfully coached at national, professional and youth levels throughout the world. He was the head coach of the U15 ECNL National champions and has successfully led multiple teams to national, regional and state championships.

To maximize the IMG experience, we recommend that campers choose the boarding option and stay in a campus residence hall. Campers can make a roommate request, upgrade to a private room or get assigned a roommate. Roommate assignments are made by gender, then age similarities, then same sport participation when possible.
All campers also have the chance to unwind and hang out between camp programming sessions. The rec area between the residence halls includes a resort-style pool (with lifeguard), sand volleyball court, basketball courts, turf sport court, table tennis, Blended smoothie bar and more. Other activities are planned, including movie nights on the pool jumbotron, pool parties and more.
All boarding campers can access breakfast, lunch and dinner at The Servery, a buffet-style eatery. Other options for extra fees not included in their meal plan include Brick Oven (pizza and sandwiches), La Boulangerie (drinks, desserts and more), food trucks and snacks in the campus store.
The health and safety of campers is our highest priority. Each residence hall has residential mentors, supervision and curfews to ensure campers feel safe and supported. We also have campus security, including gated entries, on campus 24/7.
We partner with the renowned Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital (JHACH) to deliver health services on campus. Also open 24/7, JHACH provides on-site nurses to address any health issue that arises. Health services can also distribute prescription medication, schedule on-campus appointments and provide transportation to off-campus medical appointments.
With your camp experience, there are opportunities to take advantage of some of our chaperoned, off-campus excursions. Some of our options could include local area attractions such as Pop Stroke Mini Golf as well as long distance excursions to Busch Gardens, Disney's Magic Kingdom, or even a Tampa Bay Rays game. These trips are an exciting way for your camper to engage with others outside of training in addition to the on-campus options that are also available.

Your young athlete deserves the highest level of support and comfort during their camp experience. IMG Academy offers additional support and oversight for 8-9 year old campers at no additional cost for this very reason! Please note, we only offer VIA programming during our summer camp season.
The VIA (Very Important Athlete) program consists of designated pick-up and drop-off locations and age-appropriate activities and programming tailored to camper schedules delivered by a responsible and energetic team guiding campers throughout their experience.

IMG Academy’s goalkeeper vs. attackers camp is designed for experienced soccer players born 2006 - 2010 seeking to learn directly from the same staff who develops IMG’s full-time student-athletes. Goalkeeping camp participants will learn how to protect the goal, zone, and overall area. Attackers will learn the art of scoring vs. shooting as well as an understanding of creating and finishing chances by scoring in the central channel, timing runs to score near and far post, and timing runs ultimately to score goals.
This 3-day immersive experience will include on-field training sessions and drills, classroom discussions focused on decision-making to make saves, takeaways including mental performance and leadership skills, and more. Campers will participate in five on-field training sessions inclusive of understanding different methods to score goals, read cues, recognize actions, and apply the appropriate response to protect the goal.
