Whether you are a sprinter, hurdler, distance runner, jumper or thrower, IMG Academy track & field camps offer the nation’s best training programs for all events. With elite coaches and a proven training methodology, you will become a better and more confident athlete. Camps are for ages 12-18 with customizable programming for all skill levels and availability throughout the year to accommodate your schedule.

Programs range from two daily training sessions to options including personalized coaching sessions or training specializations focused on topics such as mental performance or recovery. IMG Academy summer track & field camps are designed to incorporate small group training and event-specific development opportunities.
Fall, holiday, and spring training camps combine small group training with event-specific drills to complement offseason training and schedule availability. Camp durations vary by season but may include: 3-day, 5-day, or multi-week durations that reinforce a progressive training curriculum.

Depending on your position, here are just some of the skills you will learn from our expert coaches:
Analyze sprinter's start and acceleration technique, max velocity, and relay changes.
Focus on efficient running mechanics and determining correct threshold pace. Introducing different race strategies and training options.

All Total Athlete and Game Changer programs include training specializations that can be changed for each week of the camp. Over the many years of coaching Mark has won numerous individual coaching awards and has achieved success at all levels from high school to college to professional. Mark’s extensive experience with both women’s and men’s teams will serve him well in leading our boys’ and girls’ track & cross-country programs.
To maximize the IMG experience, we recommend that campers choose the boarding option and stay in a campus residence hall. Campers can make a roommate request, upgrade to a private room or get assigned a roommate. Roommate assignments are made by gender, then age similarities, then same sport participation when possible.
All campers also have the chance to unwind and hang out between camp programming sessions. The rec area between the residence halls includes a resort-style pool (with lifeguard), sand volleyball court, basketball courts, turf sport court, table tennis, Blended smoothie bar and more. Other activities are planned, including movie nights on the pool jumbotron, pool parties and more.
All boarding campers can access breakfast, lunch and dinner at The Servery, a buffet-style eatery. Other options for extra fees not included in their meal plan include Brick Oven (pizza and sandwiches), La Boulangerie (drinks, desserts and more), food trucks and snacks in the campus store.
The health and safety of campers is our highest priority. Each residence hall has residential mentors, supervision and curfews to ensure campers feel safe and supported. We also have campus security, including gated entries, on campus 24/7.
We partner with the renowned Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital (JHACH) to deliver health services on campus. Also open 24/7, JHACH provides on-site nurses to address any health issue that arises. Health services can also distribute prescription medication, schedule on-campus appointments and provide transportation to off-campus medical appointments.
With your camp experience, there are opportunities to take advantage of some of our chaperoned, off-campus excursions. Some of our options could include local area attractions such as Pop Stroke Mini Golf as well as long distance excursions to Busch Gardens, Disney's Magic Kingdom, or even a Tampa Bay Rays game. These trips are an exciting way for your camper to engage with others outside of training in addition to the on-campus options that are also available.

Your young athlete deserves the highest level of support and comfort during their camp experience. IMG Academy offers additional support and oversight for 8-9 year old campers at no additional cost for this very reason! The VIA (Very Important Athlete) program consists of designated pick-up and drop-off locations and age-appropriate activities and programming tailored to camper schedules delivered by a responsible and energetic team guiding campers throughout their experience.

Ages 14-18
Similar to our 1-week track & field camps, IMG Academy also offers event-specific training for pole vaulters. The camp format will align with other weekly camp programs, but athletes can expect to learn about drills, mechanics, mental toughness, and recovery methods specifically designed for valuters. Geared towards athletes ages 14-18 with pole vaulting experience, this camp features training designed to increase confidence while providing individuals an opportunity to learn the techniques often only available to IMG student-athletes.
Note - Athletes should meet one of the following to participate in this camp: Long Jump Standards: 2.43m / 8ft (female) ; 3.00m / 10ft (male)

Ages 14-18
Designed for athletes ages 14-18, IMG’s long and triple jump 1-week camp features event-specific training inclusive of jump-specific education, technical application and mechanics, recovery methods, and mental toughness strategies. Athletes can expect to increase their confidence and feel motivated and challenged by IMG’s expert coaches.
Note - Athletes should meet one of the following to participate in this camp: Long Jump Standards: 4.90m / 16ft (female) ; 5.50m / 18ft (male); OR 10m / 33ft (female) ; 11m / 36ft (male)
