At the IMG Cup-College Showcase (March 8-10), 56 of the top highschool club soccer teams from around the United States and Puerto Rico competed to show off their skills to college coaches from around the nation. The IMG Academy girls and boys teams had great results over the weekend. They had a +38 goal differential on their way to a 20-6-6 record. In particular, each of the U18/19 teams did well. The girls U18/19s were a perfect 3-0 and the boys U18/19s went 6-0.
IMG Academy girls soccer showed their class, going 8-2-1 over the three-day event. They weren’t just winning, but dominating the competition, finishing with a +24 goal differential. On six different occasions, they scored at least three goals.
IMG Academy boys soccer saw success come on both sides of the ball. The defense earned 10 clean sheets, while the offense averaged nearly two goals per game. They finished the weekend with a 12-4-5 record.
