The Weltklasse Zürich Inspiration Games: A Traditional Sport in an Innovative Format

In early July 2020, athletics in Switzerland created a platform for athletes and fans to participate and enjoy a live sporting event despite the restrictions due to safety protocols against the COVID-19 pandemic. Broadcast live on NBC Sports in Switzerland and worldwide, viewers experienced a 90 minute virtual competition between Europe, America, and the rest of the world featuring 30 track and field professionals.
