In early July 2020, athletics in Switzerland created a platform for athletes and fans to participate and enjoy a live sporting event despite the restrictions due to safety protocols against the COVID-19 pandemic. Broadcast live on NBC Sports in Switzerland and worldwide, viewers experienced a 90 minute virtual competition between Europe, America, and the rest of the world featuring 30 track and field professionals.
The Wanda Diamond League exhibition event introduced the Inspiration Games, where competing athletes descended upon three continents and seven different stadiums, one of which included IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. View the full article featuring the event by clicking here.
