"I knew about it since I was younger, so it wasn't like a surprise," Thomas explained earlier this week after completing a workout at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. "I didn't know I was going to have to have (surgery) then. But it's just one of those things. It's like what are you going to do? They said it was a good time to come in and correct it , and so that's what they did."
OSU adds Akol to 2008 class

Akol is already attending class in Stillwater and will give the Cowboys some post depth in 2008.
"I like it over here, they have a good program, and I'm looking forward to it. I've been a lot of places like with South Florida and everything and I just came here and everybody just loved me and I saw the players and they really loved me and I can see myself being able to fit in the program so I just made my decision that I want to come here," started Akol on how his visit to OSU went.

After coming to the United States just about three years ago, Sudan native Teeng Akol has been a myriad of places en route to finally landing in Stillwater. Arriving initially in New York at Our Savior High School, Akol burst onto the scene by performing well on both the high school and AAU circuits as a 2007 prospect.

BACK HOME! from a week at the famous IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL. Our younger son, Alex, attended The Basketball Academy this past week (Mon-Sat). While IMG is mainly known for its tennis component - begun by Nick Bollettieri (and his then-partner, Mike DePalmer, Sr.) - it’s expanded instruction to include basketball, baseball, golf and soccer. On any given day, there are upwards of 500 participants on campus which, from a social standpoint alone, makes for a worthwhile week (especially considering the number of countries represented by the attendees).

College coaches have been scrambling to find out more information about Kyryl Natyazhko. The big man that hit the circuit in May, had a breakout July and has become one of hottest uncommitted big men in the country.
Originally of Ukraine, Natyazhko made his way to the United States this year, after his first cousin, Kyrylo Fesenko, of the Utah Jazz, made a call to Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy.
Once in the U.S., Natyazhko has taken care of the rest. At 6-foot-10, 240-pound, he’s got a huge, chiseled frame, to go with a solid skill set.

Our Basketball Media Training Camp will kick off on Monday, September 29th and conclude on Thursday, October 2nd. All meals are included as part of the standard package, and athletes can add luxurious on-campus accommodations should they so choose.
